I had a bit on an Iron Fist itch today so I thought that I would put pen to paper (well finger to key) and see what came out.
It's a subdued, subtle Iron Fist story which I didn't expect to write I thought my need for some Danny Rand would lead to a kung fu epic so coming up with a character piece was a nice and rewarding change.
sure I will do a kick ass Iron fist tale at some point though
Enjoy!

Working those cogs!
Wow... been a while since I posted here. hasn't been a One Page Comic for a while, naughty me! I have been working however. I've had a couple of new ideas this past week and by new ideas I mean new projects not just ideas for Honor Bound.
Feels pretty good, having ideas flowing again. I've never been what you would call prolific when it comes to being the ideas man, I'me usually the guy who sits worrying about one concept he had a year ago while everyone around him has been churning something new out each month/week/day...
Don't want to go into too much detail at the minute as to what I've got cooking because there isn't really anything to show at the minute but one is a quasi-autobiographical piece and the other is an adventure with monsters!
Oh before I forget there is a treatment up from ALMTalkies for the Girl in the Red Dress music video that I contributed too. you can hit it up here more details as soon as there is some!

Man-thing v1.1
I wasn't really happy with my previous Man-thing page so I have attempted to re-work it. I'm still not sure if I'm happy with this one, I'll wait a few days and let it sit before I read it again but here it is for you to try out.

One page of Man-thing
So this weeks one pager was a bit of a curve ball. Here is what I came up with for possibly my favourite member of the current Thunderbolts team Man-thing
The best thing about this is that I am now one step closer to my giant sized Man-thing!
This is just a first draft, I plan on coming back and tweeking it if not out right re-writing it.
Enjoy!

One page is all it takes
Time for a change, not much of change but there will be in the future.
Basically, I am trying something new. Its a weekly writing project that I am undertaking, I doubt anything will come of it other than it will give me something to write (cause practice makes perfect) and will give me a break from the comic or whatever ongoing project I'm working on. I have taken the idea from the guys over at Thoughtballoons (who were nice enough to let me post stuff there but I'd feel guilty if I used their blog for my own means so I'll do most of my work here)
Each week they choose a new character and have seven days to write a one paged comic, it can only be one page (that is completed comic not script, just look at anything Alan Moore has ever done and you'll know what I mean) I won't be picking the characters myself, I'm asking friends to throw up suggestions each week, and this is the first.
One page, two Batgirls, three stars (ok that might be over selling it)

Catwoman: Fanimation second draft
I added some things to the previous version, picked up a few misspellings and grammatical Frak ups and hopefully changed it for the better... I feel inspired after Listening to the latest Bendis Tapes from everyones favourite podcaster John Siuntres

Catwoman: The Animated Series
Well maybe not but it is for a "fan-imation" (if that isn't already a word I'm calling dibs on it and you all owe me money when it becomes a real thing) being planned over on Facebook.
So here we are, my whack at an animated short based on the original treatment by Martin Lafrance

The Cat is back!
To celebrate the continuation of Amber Moelter's Catwoman Summer Project
I have gone back to my original submission for a short and had some fun with it. I have Gone back over it and converted it into a comic book script.
I started out with a silent one page script as the project guide lines stated. Then wrote what I consider to be a normal script based on the silent one page. THEN re-worked that and added in panels and suggestions of shots for an artist to use. It was fun but weird. I was taught not to add shots, only to write what you see so this was a challenge ... but one I enjoyed doing none the less. I did like seeing this grow in pages from one to six in a day.
Catwoman #1 the Hunt Comic
Hope you guys like it. I had a lot of fun writing it. If anyone can think of a character they'd like me to have a whack at I'd be more than happy to cause I need the practice if I'm honest. you can leave a comment here or send me a message at my Twitter or Facebook Pages. I've also opened up a Tumblr account so I can post all the random crap that falls out of my brain and leave this for my writing.
Until next time true believers!

Insane bolt!
I know the last couple of posts were all about scripts but ... that's kinda the point genius! But it has gotten me thinking. Writing for something else has been a lot of fun! Its nice to think about an already established world for a change instead of obsessing over one you are inventing as you type so I got to thinking...
what if I did it more often? y'know just for fun? I could use it as a kind of exercise, Do a script that's say... a page long, two at the most and use that to help hone my skills? I know there is a certain stigma that comes with fan fiction but it might just work out?
Lemme know what you think!
